Hainanese Black Chicken Rice now available in S'pore for S$17

All in the name of National Day.

F&B 1-Group will be launching several local-inspired dishes across their outlets to celebrate Singapore's 55th National Day.

These dishes will be available for a limited period of time in August, at two of the group's restaurants.

Mimi at the Riverhouse

Mimi at the Riverhouse will be serving a Hainanese Black Chicken Rice dish for S$17, which is supposed to be healthier than normal chicken rice.

The dish is made using Arborio Italian rice cooked with squid ink, black chicken meat, and homemade chilli and ginger dips.

Other unique dishes include the Flambé Dry Bak Kut Teh, Kurobuta Pork Char Siew and Crispy Cereal Prawns.

According to F&B 1-Group, diners can enjoy two main courses of their choice, and two glasses of Singapore Sling for S$55 from Aug. 3 to Aug. 9.

This is only for dine-in.

For delivery, there's a S$55 bundle that includes:

  • Grandma Lee's Fried Rice with Kurobuta
  • Chilli Crab Noodle
  • Two Singapore Cereal Prawn Rolls
  • Two bottles of Tiger White Beer

The Alkaff Mansion

The Alkaff Mansion (TAM), which is another one of F&B 1-Group's restaurants, will also be launching exclusive National Day dishes from Aug. 7 to Aug. 10.

The restaurant's Executive Chef has come up with Singapore-inspired Pintxos such as Tiger Prawn with Chilli Crab Sauce on Mantou, Beef Rendang Tart, Sambal Chilli Sauce Octopus Salpicon and Pluma Skewer with Peanut Sauce.

In celebration of Singapore's 55th birthday, all National Day pintxos will be priced at S$5.50 each.

Other highlights include Hokkien Mee Fideua with Tiger Prawns and Clams (S$52) and Pluma Iberico served with Satay Sauce (S$42).

Cocktail lovers can also enjoy a Kaya Toast Cocktail (S$15), which is a rum-based cocktail made of kaya, pandan and lemon.

For cafe-goers, the Wildseed Cafe Alkaff Mansion​ is offering Tiger Prawn Laksa Pasta (S$25), along with the Bandung Choux Puff (S$9.50) and Bandung Cafe Latte (S$10), which comes with a shot of whiskey.

These dishes are available for both delivery or takeaway.

If you're lazy to head out, the National Day Wine & Dine at Home Bundle (S$155) comprises:

  • Three types of Singapore-inspired Pintxos
  • Two main courses of Hokkien Mee Fideua and Satay Pluma Iberica
  • Two desserts, including a slice of burnt cheesecake and a bottle of Cava
