The Great Singapore Sale (GSS) will be moving online this year.
From Sept. 9 to Oct. 10, shoppers will experience retail offers, interactive games, and activities on the cyberspace.
Shop, Win, and Experience
eGSS is split into three components: Shop, Win, and Experience.
Shop: During eGSS, shoppers can get deals across retail, food and beverage (F&B), attractions and hotels. These deals are available in limited quantities on mobile app GoSpree, and will differ everyday.
GoSpree is a managed by the Singapore Retailers Association (SRA).

Win: "Bag It Up" is an interactive game available on GoSpree where players can win prizes worth over S$150,000.
Experience: Shoppers using GoSpree can make use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to view retailers' products and brands. This allows shoppers to have an immersive experience before they purchase the products.
There will also be virtual workshops and virtual events that shoppers can participate in at home.
Other things shoppers can look forward to at eGSS include:
- Live streams by influencers featuring limited edition items
- Association of Singapore Attractions (ASA) members offering "back-of-house experiences" to encourage Singaporean families options to rediscover Singapore attractions.
- Digital lookbook to feature fashion and lifestyle products that shoppers can purchase on a single online platform, OneOrchard.Store.
Driving local consumption
The main aim of the eGSS 2020 is to provide a unified marketing platform to drive local consumption and digitalisation.
It is organised by SRA in collaboration with ASA, Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), and Textile & Fashion Federation (TaFF).
It is also part of the SingapoRediscovers campaign, a nine-month long S$45 million campaign that aims to drive local demand for Singapore's lifestyle and tourism businesses.
