On July 18, Member of Parliament-elect for Marymount SMC Gan Siow Huang shared on Facebook that an underground pipe burst and water supply to Blk 281 Bishan St 24 was disrupted.
Luckily, the water supply was restored thanks to the "fast response" of the Town Council and the PUB, Gan said.
While waiting for the repairs, a mobile water tank was dispatched to the area for the residents.
Gan shared photos of residents collecting water from the vehicle.

Gan also wrote about how she turned a burst water pipe into a teachable moment for one kid, saying that she helped one "young resident" to collect water and shared with him a lesson that "water is precious."
Gan also shared other photos of herself visiting residents in her Facebook post.
