The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced today that ERP rates of $1 to apply at selected Central Expressway (CTE) gantries from Monday, 27 July 2020, after its second review of ERP rates following the Circuit Breaker.

These ERP rates will apply between 8am to 9am at the Southbound CTE gantry before Braddell Road and at a set of two gantries at the Northbound CTE after PIE between 6pm to 7pm.

Traffic volume has been increasing: LTA

According to LTA's announcement, the ERP rates have been applied to manage congestion during peak periods.

With economic activities resuming in Phase 2, traffic volume has been increasing as more commute to schools and workplaces.

The agency said that traffic speeds have been optimal on all arterial roads and most expressways, with the exception being peak periods on the CTE.

There have been localised congestion at specific points along the CTE during the morning and evening peak periods.

Other than the three above-mentioned locations at specified times along the CTE, there will be no ERP charges at all other gantries until the next ERP rate review.

The next ERP rate review will be announced in the fourth week of August 2020.
