Covid-19: 158 new cases on Jul. 8, 4 are S'poreans/PRs

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 158 new cases of Covid-19 infection as of 12pm on Wednesday, July 8.

This brings the total number of cases to 45,298.

The vast majority of the cases, said the ministry, are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There are nine cases in the community, of whom four are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and five are Work Pass holders.

There are also three imported cases, all of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

MOH will share further updates in the evening.
