The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 322 cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore, as of 12pm on July 13.

The vast majority of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There are 11 cases in the community, including two Singaporeans or PRs and 9 Work Pass holders.

There are also five imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

The higher number of cases today is mainly due to fewer tests being conducted by the Covid-19 testing laboratories over the public holiday and weekend on July 10 and July 11, with the backlog of samples being cleared from July 12, said MOH.

The number of cases reported for July 9 and before were not affected.

There is a total of 46,283 cases as of July 13.

More details will be shared in tonight's press release.
