Breakdown of new cases

Cases residing in dormitories: 356

The vast majority of cases continue to be Work Pass holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

MOH said that they continue to pick up cases amongst Work Permit holders residing in dormitories, including in factory-converted dormitories, because of extensive testing in these premises as part of their process to verify and test the status of all workers.

Imported cases: 2

There are two new imported cases, both of whom had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore.

Both imported cases arrived in Singapore from India on July 12 and 13. Case 51007 is a Work Pass holder who is currently employed in Singapore, and Case 50946 is a Dependant’s Pass holder.

Cases in the community: 1

The new case in the community is a Work Pass holder.

Case 50919 had been identified as a contact of a previously confirmed case, and had been placed on quarantine earlier. He was tested during quarantine to determine his status, even though he is asymptomatic.
