S'porean man, 62, is 27th Covid-19-related death

He had a history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on July 14, 2020 that a 62-year-old Singaporean man has died from complications due to Covid-19.

He died on July 14. This is the 27th death in Singapore that is caused by the virus.

Confirmed with Covid-19 on April 30

The man, Case 17168, was diagnosed with Covid-19 on April 30, and was subsequently hospitalised at Sengkang General Hospital (SKGH).

He had a history of diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.

SKGH has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them, said MOH.

In all, 42,737 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 161 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, of which none are in the Intensive Care Unit.

So far, 27 have died from the complications due to the virus.
