People in Singapore have successfully witnessed a passing comet in the sky and have even managed to photograph it.

Photos of the comet were taken on July 20 night.

The good news is that Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise will be visible in our Singapore evening skies from now till mid-August 2020, and can be seen nightly until then, provided there are no obstructions in the sky.

How to view comet?

The comet appears in a greenish hue in photographs taken with any DSLR camera:

A pair of binoculars is highly recommended to locate the comet easily.

According to the Stargazing Singapore Facebook page, the comet can be seen via the unaided eye and it will appear as a small light fuzzy cotton ball with tail in the northwest sky.

Its appearance in the sky is also conditional on it not breaking up into pieces anytime from now till mid-August, but anything can happen, anytime, to the comet.
