Local dim sum eatery Swee Choon is launching two items for National Day: Lava Bun with Chilli Crab Filling and Mee Suah Kueh with Chili Crab Sauce.
Lava Bun with Chilli Crab Filling
The Lava Bun with Chilli Crab Filling comes in a set of three for S$8.
The bun is recreated after the fried mantous (Chinese steam buns) that come with local chilli crab dishes, complemented by an interior of chunky chilli crab sauce.
Mee Suah Kueh with Chili Crab Sauce
The second item is made with stir-fried wheat vermicelli, dried shrimps, and Chinese sausage that is subsequently set in mould.
It is then deep fried and topped with a sweet and spicy chilli crab paste, consisting of freshly-peeled crab meat and other condiments.
This costs S$5 for two.
The new dim sum will be available from Aug. 3 for dine-in, takeaway, and islandwide delivery.
