This year's National Day Parade (NDP) celebrations will be different as there won't be a large gathering of members of the public at Marina Bay, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
The NDP theme is "Together, A Stronger Singapore".
As for the theme song, it is called Everything I Am, composed by Joshua Wan, and performed by Nathan Hartono.

Part of the parade's focus on everyday Singaporeans
As part of the parade's focus on stories of everyday Singaporeans, the music video will feature individuals such as OK Chicken Rice owners Daniel Tan and Clara Loh, who delivered free chicken rice to healthcare workers, local deaf dance crew Redeafination, and local initiative “Come Makan With Me”, which encourages Singaporeans to invite migrant workers for a shared meal in their homes.
The chairman of the NDP executive committee, Brigadier-General Frederick Choo, stated:
"We felt that it's very important for Singaporeans to share their reflections, their experiences and their stories, and accumulate them into a collection that represents Singapore."
In total, 55 stories of Singaporeans will be featured throughout the parade, with about eight to nine of the stories featured within the music video alone.
Half of the stories will be shown during the morning broadcast, while the remainder will be shown in the evening, mostly in the form of short films.
A press release by the NDP committee further stated that the stories will be categorised as stories of "Inspiring Individuals, Community Initiatives, Families, Essential Workers, Frontline Fighters and Covid-19 survivors".
