Not bad at all.

Many local celebrities are on TikTok, but it isn't just the younger ones -- veterans such as Zoe Tay and Rayson Tan have also been active on the platform.

And 65-year-old Zhu Houren is the latest celebrity to make a special appearance on the TikTok scene.

Appeared in son's TikTok video

Zhu was recently in a TikTok video with his son, Joel Choo.

The video starts off with Choo showing different stages of facial hair growth throughout the circuit breaker period.

Choo then got his father to make an appearance in his video and say, "this is my face, fourth week of circuit breaker".

In the video, Choo can be seen coaching his father on how to enter the frame, and how to position the camera.

Zhu can be seen struggling slightly in the beginning, with the camera being out of focus:

He was mostly unfazed by this, though.

After he gets the shot in focus, Zhu is then heard saying, rather tentatively, "this is my face, fourth week of... circuit breaker".

With a slight smile on his face, he appears to look to his son for approval, who then asks if he can repeat the sentence "more clearly" this time.

Great effort.

Choo & Zhu

Choo has been in local showbusiness for the past three years.

In a February 2020 interview with AsiaOne, Choo previously revealed that he sees his relationship with his father as a "trademark" and that they are known as a father-son duo.

Choo also shared with 8Days that he would often share his work-related troubles with his father, who would then encourage him to not dwell on his mistakes and do better next time.
