Two injury cases have occurred while at home on remote working arrangements, and have been reported to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
The claims are currently being examined.
This was revealed in a written answer by Manpower Minister Josephine Teo in Parliament to Member of Parliament Patrick Tay on June 4.
Tay asked about work injury claims where the injury occurred at home while working remotely.
Tracking injuries during Circuit Breaker
In her reply, Teo said that MOM has been tracking work injuries that occurred at home since the start of the Circuit Breaker period on April 7.
As with all work injury claims, it has to be determined if the injuries arose out of, and in the course of the work being done.
Added Teo:
"Employees with work injuries, including injury sustained while working from home, are eligible for compensation under the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA)."
