S’pore woman, 37, charged for leaving her home 6 times to socialise during circuit breaker

She faced 12 charges in total.

A 37-year-old woman was charged on Jun. 9 with 12 counts of breaking Covid-19 regulations.

Left her home six times over five days

According to CNA, Letchimi had left her flat at Block 508 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 without a reasonable excuse, and to meet others for a social purpose.

She allegedly left her home six times over five days between Apr. 11 and May 21.

She had met up with four men at the void deck of another block in Ang Mo Kio, drank alcohol with two men on one occasion, and met three men at the corridor and staircase landing of her flat to socialise.

One of the men she is accused of meeting is Ravindran Marimuthu.

The 56-year-old was also given 12 similar charges.

He had left his home at Block 510 Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 six times on six days between Apr 11 and May 21, reported CNA.

However, it is not known whom he had met.

Besides Ravindran, Letchimi is also accused of meeting Shanmuganathan Thangaragu and Logeswaran Rajagopal.

She had met Logeswaran a few times at the void deck of Block 224 Ang Mo Kio Ave 1.

On the last occasion on May 21, she met Logeswaran and Ravindran at the open area between Blocks 505 and 507 of Ang Mo Kio Ave 8 at 11:37pm.

Jailed for up to six month, fined, or both

Letchimi is set to plead guilty on Jul. 7.

Ravindran will also return to court on Jun. 30 to plead guilty.

Each of them will face a jail term of up to six months, a fine of up to S$10,000, or both per charge.
