Good news for kids—and perhaps parents—Toys"R"Us will be among the numerous retail stores reopening in Phase 2, which will start on June 19.

Precautionary measures in place

To ensure the safety of its customers, Toys"R"Us announced in a Facebook post that it would be implementing several precautionary measures.

Everyone should wear masks and maintain safe distancing while in the store.

Those entering Toys"R"Us will also be required to check in and check out using SafeEntry. In addition, there will be a maximum cap on the number of visitors to each store.

"We also know that kids like to touch here touch there, it's a toy store after all!" the store said in its post.

As such, Toys"R"Us has also assured everyone that they are committed to ensuring a clean environment in their stories.

Thus, all stores and its displays will undergo regular cleaning and sanitising. If an area is blocked off for cleaning, Toys"R"Us urged customers to remain patient and not enter that area.

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced the movement to Phase 2 in a press conference on June 15, citing the low and stable community numbers recently.

Aside from resuming dining in at F&B outlets, all retail stores will be resuming operations as well, which means that large public venues like malls and standalone retail outlets will be reopening fully.

All retail stores were previously closed upon the imposition of the circuit breaker on Apr. 7.
