The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) has designed and developed a temperature self-check kiosk.

These kiosks can read your temperature within two seconds without any contact. The temperature reading is accurate to a variance of 0.3°C.

To date, the kiosks have been deployed at five locations – Braddell MRT station, Boon Keng MRT station, Tiong Bahru MRT station, Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange and Serangoon Bus Interchange.

They will be deployed at 70 MRT stations and bus interchanges islandwide by the third quarter this year.

The kiosks will be deployed for about a year until August 2021.

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen posted these images of the kiosk on Facebook on June 25, adding that the kiosk is the result of a partnership between the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Land Transport Authority, and public transport operators.
