There is a website you can go to to check out crowd levels before you head down to malls in Singapore.
The website, SpaceOut, was launched by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) after collaborating with retail mall operators.
The website was previously announced by URA in a media release on Apr. 5.
Crowd level in malls, supermarkets
The map provides regular updates on the crowd levels in malls across Singapore, in order to help the public make informed choices on where and when to make purchases and safe distancing.
Each mall is represented on the map by a coloured circle – green (not crowded), yellow (some crowd), orange (crowded), and red (max).
The website will also show malls with no crowd level information available in grey.
These crowd levels are derived based on the data from retail malls on shopper traffic and the safe distancing guidelines for retail malls by Enterprise Singapore (ESG).
National Environment Agency (NEA)’s safe distancing measures are also taken into account when reflecting crowd levels.
Users also have the option to click into individual malls, to see the data trend of crowds over a time period.
Apart from mall data, the website also allows for users to see the crowd levels for supermarkets, post offices and markets as well.
Nifty.
