A 63-year-old Singaporean man will be charged with theft after allegedly stealing a brassiere that was hanging on a clothes rack outside a residential unit at Block 353, Bukit Batok Street 34, on April 19.
Charged with theft
According to a news release issued by the Singapore Police Force on Tuesday, June 16, the man was seen loitering in the vicinity of the unit and was not wearing his mask properly over his nose and mouth.
For stealing the brassiere, he will be charged with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
Charged for not wearing mask properly & leaving residence without valid reason
For not wearing his mask properly and for leaving his place of residence without a valid reason, the man will be charged with breaching two counts of regulation punishable under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020.
The man will be charged in court on Wednesday, June 17.
