73-year-old S'porean, infected with Covid-19 before start of circuit-breaker, is 26th Covid-19 related death

He had a history of hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and chronic kidney disease.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 347 new cases of Covid-19 infection as of 12pm on Saturday, Jun. 13, 2020.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 40,197, with the majority of cases continuing to be Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

768 more patients were discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

Death of Case 161

Case 161 is a 73-year-old Singaporean who was confirmed to have Covid-19 on Mar. 9 and had a history of hypertension, hyperlipidaemia and chronic kidney disease.

He passed away on June 12 from complications arising from his Covid-19 infection, making him Singapore's 26th Covid-19 related death.

This means he has been in the hospital for over three months even before the start of the circuit breaker.

The National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) has since reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.

New cluster found

Meanwhile, a new cluster has been found at a dormitory at 50 Tech Park Crescent.

15 of the newly confirmed cases there were found to be linked to 28 cases from the dormitory.
