An elderly man was caught on video near Woodlands North Plaza shooting bubble tea pearls out of a straw at a signboard as target practice.

The metal signboard located just across a pedestrian pathway was on the receiving end of tapioca-based bullets.

The pearls hit the signboard making distinct popping sounds upon impact -- a sure sign the man is a marksman.

The pearls left visible marks on the back of the signboard -- a total of 15 confirmed kills.

There were other passers-by within the vicinity at that time, but the elderly did not appear to be affected by their presence.

A photo of the man has also since been circulated online:

This Covid-19 pandemic has brought out the strange in people residing in Singapore.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, fewer people would have bat an eye at BBT pearl shooting -- and some might even openly admit they have done it before as well.

But there are some things that you just cannot do these days anymore -- without sparking the next health crisis.
