It's official: Ang Mo Kio GRC will see a straight fight between the Reform Party and the incumbent People's Action Party (PAP).

Two groups of candidates from the PAP and RP stands nominated for the constituency at the end of the nomination period on June 30.

PAP's team, as announced on June 29, is helmed by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and consists of Darryl David, Gan Thiam Poh, and two new candidates, Nadia Samdin and Ng Ling Ling.

The previous six-man team has been reduced to five for the General Elections in 2020, in accordance with new electoral boundary rules.

Jeyaretnam is not at the nomination centre in person, as he is completing a 14-day SHN.

Under Section 9 of the Act, an aspiring candidate who is unable to attend the nomination proceedings at the designated place in person, due to a Covid-19 stay-home order, may get an authorised representative to deliver nomination papers on their behalf.

RP also contested in the 2015 and 2011 elections against the PAP.
