The Health Promotion Board (HPB) has progressively set up Regional Screening Centres (RSCs) to facilitate Covid-19 screening and testing needs.

RSCs set up islandwide to facilitate Covid-19 testing

As of June 1, 2020, Singapore has conducted over 408,000 tests for Covid-19.

To further facilitate the testing needs in the community, RSCs have been set up islandwide in various locations.

RSCs that have been set up will assist in carrying out the testing of targeted groups in the community, and will be located in easily accessible places.

In May 2020, RSCs were deployed at temporary sites to carry out the testing of preschool staff, where a total of seven preschool staff tested positive for Covid-19 out of roughly 15,300 who were tested, as of May 24.

From June, the RSCs have been deployed to other sites, working closely with agencies such as the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) for the construction sector, and the Economic Development Board (EDB) for the marine and process sector.

No-walk in requests, individuals should consult primary care doctor first

As testing capacity ramps up, more RSCs will be set up at appropriate locations in Singapore.

Other RSC locations include the Old Police Academy and The Float @ Marina Bay, which commenced operations on June 2.

RSCs were also set up at Bukit Gombak Sports Hall and Bishan Sports Hall as of June 8, while another centre will also be set up at the former Sepak Takraw Sports Hall in Bedok (2 Bedok North Street 2).

Individuals who are feeling unwell or have medical concerns should consult their primary care doctor first, as the RSCs do not take walk-in requests for screening.

Unwell individuals will be referred to the RSCs for screening by their primary care doctors.
