Cloud dumping rain on only one area appears in S'pore waters off Marina South

Now witness the real life version off the southern coast of Singapore in the Singapore Strait.

A video of a downpour over a specific area in the sea from a rain cloud above was shared on June 6, but it is not known if it was shot that day.

The vantage point where the video was taken is believed to be from an elevated spot on Marina Bay Sands.

Stock footage found online shows this location is a favourite for photographers and is easily accessible for a clear view of Marina South:

In December 2018, a similar weather phenomenon occurred in the west of Singapore.

A weather phenomenon of such sorts is seen frequently as image macros or memes online.
