The Writ of Election has been issued, and Nomination Day has been fixed on June 30.
After 10 days of campaigning, Singapore will go to the polls on Friday, July 10.
The Cooling-Off Day will be on July 9, a day before Polling Day.
This also means Singaporeans will have an extra public holiday on Friday.
In light of the Covid-19 situation, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said earlier over a national broadcast that voters' safety will be the priority, and safety measures will be taken at the polling stations.
President Halimah has also dissolved Parliament under PM Lee's advice and issued the Writ of Election for the 2020 General Election.
Nomination Day will be on June 30 and candidates are encouraged to use digital services on the Elections Department (ELD) website to prepare their Nomination Paper.
However, hard copies of Nomination Paper will be made available at the office of the Returning Officer at ELD.
