No thanks to Covid-19, plenty of retail and F&B shops have had their businesses disrupted.
In the past three months, however, we spotted the boarding of some well-loved beverage chains in nearby malls.
Here are four outlets that we can look forward to, hopefully in a post-pandemic world.
1. Chicha San Chen, Waterway Point
Known for: Extra large pearls, milk tea, long queues.
2. Arabica Coffee, Jewel Changi Airport
Known for: Coming from Japan, being expensive
3. Playmade, Westgate
Known for: Pink cactus pearls, chrysanthemum pearls, chrysanthemum milk tea.
4. Milksha, Westgate
While Milksha doesn't have as much of a cult following in Singapore as the rest of the brands here, it received plenty of coverage when it first arrived from Taiwan.
The boarding states the opening date as April 2020, but the store has yet to open on June 13.
Bonus: AfterCoffee, VivoCity
AfterCoffee is a new venture by celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee, reports 8 Days.
Find unusual pairings here, like:
- Salted egg yolk and fresh milk
- Cherry tomato juice and coffee, topped with seaweed
- Red Bull and coffee
