The Ministry of Health (MOH) has identified the FairPrice outlet at Hougang Mall as a location that was visited by a confirmed infectious case in the community on May 30, from 11:10am to 12pm.

The information was included in MOH's daily press release on Saturday, June 6.

The ministry added that they have already notified those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases.

MOH said that as a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

There is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been. The National Environment Agency will engage the management of affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

Visitors who visited these locations at the specified date and time should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell.

They should inform the doctor of their exposure history.

Since May 25, MOH has been providing a list of public places that confirmed cases in the community had visited for more than 30 minutes.

This list of places excludes residence, workplaces, healthcare facilities and public transport.

MOH said as epidemiological investigations progress, the list will be updated accordingly.

On June 6, MOH confirmed 344 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm.

There are seven cases in the community, of whom three are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents and four are Work Pass holders.

This brings the total number of reported cases in Singapore to 37,527.
