The Circuit Breaker has given us a lot of time at home to experiment with cooking.

If you're the sort who enjoys whipping up a dish, here's an easy 15-minute recipe for light and creamy scrambled eggs, courtesy of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Ingredients

Technically, the scrambled eggs dish only requires three ingredients — eggs, butter, and creme fraiche (cream that has been soured with bacterial culture) — four, if you count the chive garnish.

However, Ramsay's dish also comes with a side of mushrooms, tomatoes, and toast.

So you'll need these ingredients for the whole shebang:

  • 3 eggs
  • A knob of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of creme fraiche
  • 2 medium-sized portobello mushrooms
  • 5 cherry tomatoes, on the vine
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Chives to garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Crack your eggs in a saucepan and add the butter.

Put it over the stove on low heat and stir the mixture continuously to prevent it from sticking to the pot. Do not season the mixture with salt now otherwise your scrambled eggs will become watery.

After stirring the egg mixture on the stove for 30 seconds, take it off the stove and continue stirring for 10 seconds. Then, put it back on the stove again, stirring for 30 seconds. Repeat this for three minutes.

While this is going on, drizzle a pan with olive oil and sear the mushrooms and tomatoes on low heat.

Start toasting your bread as well.

Once the eggs start to thicken slightly, you can season it with salt and pepper. Stir in the creme fraiche.

Plate your eggs, toast, mushroom, and tomatoes. Garnish the scrambled eggs with chives and serve.
