Aly Mendoza received an email from her father 10 months after he had passed away.

Email contained instructions from father

Although apprehensive initially about receiving a correspondence from her late father, she realised that the scheduled email contained detailed instructions on planning a surprise for her parents' wedding anniversary for her mother.

Her parents were supposed to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary together, but her father had passed away before that could happen.

Mendoza, who lives in the Philippines, took to Facebook to share what her father had arranged before passing on.

In his email, her father said that he had contacted a florist and paid for flowers to be delivered to her mother for the coming years on every special occasion -- her mother's birthday, Valentine’s Day, and their wedding anniversary.

The email contained instructions for his daughter to follow, regarding a surprise he had planned for his wife.

He also left his wife a letter in the email.

25th anniversary wedding surprise

On the day of her parent's wedding anniversary, Mendoza and her helper started setting up her mother's surprise at 11pm.

They only finished at 5:30am – just in time for mom's daily alarm at 6am.

Here are photos of the surprise, which includes balloons and streamers with photos of her parents.

And a video of her mother, tearing up while looking at the photos:

"Not even death could stop my dad from loving my mom and showing her how much she meant to him," Mendoza wrote in her Facebook post.
