With more than 3,600 likes, the post is one of Chen's most popular on the platform.

His caption reads:

"The entire family is keeping fit and exercising. [Wife] Xiang Yun has visibly lost weight, while the daughter has been sticking to her routine. My son, however, thinks that I've been lazy. He urges me to exercise every day, and even challenged me to see who would get an eight-pack first. I'm halfway there, but I'm not going to training anymore, it's too tiring 😱"

Chen has also been very sweet to reply many of the post's comments, even if they are just emojis.

He explained in the comments:

"This photo was taken for my children before I surrendered, so there's at least some accountability on my part. I've done my best, haha."

In response to one user who said that a four-pack was already pretty good, Chen agreed and said, "Yes, one should be contented."

But son Chen Yixi, who turns 29 this year, has ordered his father not to stop training.

"You only have a four-pack, not yet an eight-pack," Yixi added.

Following the post, Chen also shared some photos of himself as the cover of entertainment mag 8 Days almost 30 years ago.

"Just remembered that 29 years ago, I had such photos taken when I was fresh meat. Now I'm twice-cooked meat 🤣"
