A group of female corgis have been put up for adoption in Singapore.

Two adoption notices were published by Voices For Animals Facebook page on June 17 and June 19.

No reasons were given for the dogs being put up for adoption, but photos and details of the corgis have been provided.

Photos provided

According to the posts, the corgis are all six years old and above.

Five of them are brown and white.

One is tri-colour.

However, in the June 19 post, there were seven photos of corgis altogether, raising the possibility of an additional corgi available.

Details about corgis for adoption

Some of the corgis get along with other dogs, others don't.

As the corgis might exhibit traits of being fearful, they are unsuitable for families with young children.

The posts also highlighted the foreseeable issues that corgis experience.

Corgis are known to not be easy to manage as they can undergo excessive shedding of fur.

It is also a known fact that corgis' chances of having spinal issues can be very high, owing to their short legs and long body.

Despite their relatively small stature, corgis are not a HDB-approved breed.

Filling in questionnaire

A 22-questionnaire provided in the two posts must be completed by interested adopters.

These questions require interested parties to divulge information pertaining to their line of work and expectations of pet ownership.

The questions allow the strict screening of potential adopters' suitability, the posts said.

A S$250 adoption fee applies, the post added.

The posts also highlighted that a successful adoption is more likely if adopters can provide more details about themselves.

Adopters who have raised corgis will be a plus point, as having prior knowledge and experience dealing with corgi issues will come in handy.
