Though cinemas and entertainment venues are still closed in Singapore, it seems like Malaysia is ready to have them re-opened again.

In a press conference on June 22 by Malaysia's Defense Minister Ismail Sabri, he announced that cinemas and live events will be able to resume their operations starting July 1, 2020.

However, they will only resume their operations in closed environments and halls.

Number of attendees cannot exceed 250

According to Free Malaysia Today, Malaysia's standard operating procedures (SOPs) must still be strictly followed, and people must be kept 1 metre apart.

The number of attendees also cannot exceed 250, but the number may vary depending on the size of the event or cinema hall.

Temperature checks, the wearing of masks and registering of names will be applied.

Hand sanitiser will also be provided.
