On June 1, bubble tea store Teafolia announced that they are closing down for good in Singapore.

According to its Facebook post, Teafolia had to cease operations due to the "current economic situation".

Closed since circuit breaker period

Since April 22, Teafolia had to temporarily close its two outlets because of the circuit breaker measures.

Subsequently, on May 18, it ceased operations at its Bedok Mall outlet, citing "economic circumstances".

Operated for three years

Teafolia first opened in Singapore in September 2017 and had three outlets:

  • Tampines MRT station
  • Bedok Mall
  • Northpoint City

Their first outlet at Tampines MRT station permanently closed in July 2019.

Known for their fruit teas

Teafolia was known for their fruit teas.

Some of its popular drinks included Signature Fruit Tea, Grapefruit Gravity and Strawberry & Peach Duo.

They also sold milk-based drinks and slushies.

On their site, Teafolia lists Los Angeles as one of their overseas outlet locations.

Which means we probably won't be having it anytime soon.

Sad.
