Heads up, Apple fans.
Reopening from June 24
Apple stores in Singapore will reopen from June 24, following the announcement of Phase 2.
Responding to queries from Mothership, a spokesperson from Apple shared that its stores will have significant safety procedures.
This includes temperature checks, social distancing and face coverings.
With social distancing measures in place, it also added that a limited number of visitors will be allowed in the store at one time.
Mothership understands that Apple's opening hours have been reviewed to the following timings:
- Apple Jewel Changi Airport: 12pm to 8pm
- Apple Orchard Road: 11am to 8pm
Additional information on the new guidelines and store hours can be found here.
This is Apple's statement in full:
"We're excited to begin welcoming visitors back to our stores in Singapore on Wednesday (Jun. 24). We’ve missed our customers and look forward to offering our support.
With many working and learning from home we look forward to providing the service and support they need, whether that be picking up a new product or getting help at the Genius Bar. Our newly reopened stores will have significant safety procedures including temperature checks, social distancing and face coverings to ensure customers and employees continue to stay healthy. Our social distance protocol means a limited number of visitors in the store at one time so there may be a delay for walk-in customers. For more ways to shop and additional information on these new guidelines and store hours, please visit http://apple.com/sg/retail."
Closed since March 15
The Apple stores in Singapore have been closed since March 15, following CEO Tim Cook's announcement of the temporary closure of all of its stores outside of Greater China due to Covid-19.
The temporary closure was further extended when Singapore began its circuit breaker period on April 7.
