It seems that each week, yet another person in Singapore is caught on video for supposedly contravening circuit breaker rules.

A video taken at Sun Plaza shows a woman in a blue dress arguing with a safe distancing ambassador over her flouting of the rules.

"If you want to talk, remove your mask and talk," she says while pointing her finger at the ambassador.

"Right now it's by the law. It's mandatory to wear a mask," he says.

The woman, now seated, pulls the surgical mask in her hand up to her face.

"This is a mask," she replies, prompting the ambassador to explain that holding the mask up to her face does not constitute actually wearing it.

The woman then turns her attention to the man filming the incident.

"This is a mask, and this is how you wear it, alright?" she says while still holding the mask to her face.

Security guard arrives, calls the police

"You got any other issues? I'm waiting for the security guard? Where is the security guard?"

She continues to heckle the two men with a combination of English and Chinese, at one point saying: "Are you dumb? Or sophisticatedly stupid?"

She then raises her mask and says "Cheers to you all."

A security guard soon arrives and confronts the woman causing her to stand up.

The two have a short argument over who had breached the one metre safe distancing boundary before the security guard turns away from her.

The woman returns to her seat and waves her hand dismissively.

"Whatever, whatever, whatever," she adds.

Woman: Remove your mask if you want to talk

She continues in a tirade against the three men confronting her, once again saying "remove your mask if you want to talk, no one can hear anything."

The man filming the incident then explains that he had offered the woman a mask, though she declined.

The camera then pans down to a bag of surgical masks held in the man's hand before the video ends on the woman defiantly holding her surgical mask in up in the air, continuing with her taunts.

Replying to queries from Mothership, a Sun Plaza spokesperson declined to comment on the incident as it was under investigation.

"We are trying our best to ensure that all shoppers are shopping in a safe environment," said the spokesperson.

This included requiring shoppers to wear face masks and adhere to safe distancing measures.

Mothership has also reached out to the Singapore Police Force and will update the article with their response.
