A female flasher in Singapore has become the subject of widespread attention after her escapades were publicised online.

This includes a video circulating on Facebook with more than 600 shares, as well as a series of Instagram Stories by local DJ Jade Rasif.

Jade later clarified to a follower that the couple allegedly went around flashing people and taking part in illicit sexual activities in the park.

The couple also had a Twitter account, which was recently removed after they were reported.

However, it is unclear to whom the couple was reported (Twitter or the authorities).

Obscene content on Twitter

According to Shin Min Daily News (SMDN), the account is managed by a husband and wife pair, who are in their 40s and 20s respectively.

The account, which was apparently started in February this year, gathered about 37,000 followers within three months.

SMDN reports more than 400 erotic photos and videos posted to the account.

The Twitter account appeared to be active on May 14, when SMDN checked on it.

It was no longer available on May 15.

Besides sharing obscene content, the couple allegedly also invited followers to take part in "mass exercises".

Participants would first go for drinks, and continue the "party" at a hotel "if the mood was right".

The couple reportedly stated their preference for participants to be above 35 years old, among other requirements.

Allegedly solicited paying members for Telegram group

One month after the Twitter account was created, the couple allegedly invited users to join their private Telegram group, SMDN discovered.

The group reportedly had more "homemade" pornographic content.

To join, however, users will need to pay a membership fee of S$24.99 per month, or S$69.99 every three months.

Illegalities involved

In Singapore, it is illegal to keep, distribute or sell pornographic materials under the Undesirable Publications Act, Films Act, and Section 292 of the Penal Code, which concerns the  "Sale of obscene books, etc."

Performing obscene acts in a public place is also illegal under Section 294 of the Penal Code. Those found guilty of doing so are liable to an imprisonment term of up to to three months, a fine, or both.

Any person who appears nude in a public place, in way that offends against public decency or order, is also liable to an imprisonment term of up to three months, a fine of up to S$2,000, or both.

This comes under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act.
