It seems like you may see a casual Vicki Zhao somewhere around Orchard one day.

House worth S$27.65 million

The Chinese actress's husband, businessman Huang Youlong has bought a penthouse worth S$27.65 million in Singapore's District 10.

According to The Business Times, the penthouse is located at the freehold Ardmore Park condominium.

The penthouse is on levels 29 and 30 of the condominium, and is one of six penthouses in the development.

The property was completed in 2001.

It is understood that Huang owns at least one other unit, a four-bedder apartment, on a low floor in another block.

He apparently purchased the property from RB Capital chief executive, Kishin RK.

10-year-old daughter may be beneficiary

Kishin had granted the option to purchase to Huang in April 2017 with a long exercise period, which was only exercised last month.

The former property owner had paid S$19.5 million for the unit in 2017.

Supposedly, he received an unsolicited offer with a price "too good to refuse" from Huang shortly after the purchase.

It is understood that Huang made the purchase as a trustee and the beneficiary may just be his 10-year-old daughter, April.

Singapore PRs

Zhao and Huang are both permanent residents in Singapore.

The couple previously bought 9.18 per cent worth of Alibaba Pictures Group Ltd's stocks for HK$3 billion (S$548.6 million).

They got married in 2008 in Singapore.

Two years later in 2010, Zhao gave birth to their daughter here at Gleneagles Hospital.
