Covid-19: Project Glory construction site cluster closed with no new cases after 28 days

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 570 new Covid-19 cases on May 20, 2020.

842 patients were announced to be discharged on the same day.

Cluster linked to Project Glory construction site closed

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 29,364, with the majority of cases continuing to be Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

MOH also shared in its update that the cluster linked to the construction site at Project Glory (50 Market Street) has been closed, after 28 days without any new cases linked to the cluster.

The cluster was first discovered on Apr. 3, 2020, with four initial cases (Cases 956, 967, 1019 and 1104) linked to it.

In its last update on April 28, there were a total of 82 cases of Covid-19 linked to the cluster, after contact tracing was completed.

Two new clusters

Two new clusters have been identified.

Four of the newly confirmed cases are linked to one previous case to form a new cluster 29 Senoko South Road.

One of the newly confirmed cases is linked to two previous cases to form a new cluster at 144 Tagore Lane.

In all, 11,207 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

Of the 954 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving, 11 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

17,181 cases who have mild symptoms or who are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

22 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
