Peter Lim is donating S$1 million worth of meals for frontline healthcare workers and their families during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The $1 million donation is disbursed by providing meal vouchers to staff of public hospitals.
The beneficiaries are staff from:
- Alexandra Hospital
- Changi General Hospital
- Khoo Teck Puat Hospital
- KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital
- National University Hospital
- Ng Teng Fong General Hospital
- Sengkang General Hospital
- Singapore General Hospital
- Tan Tock Seng Hospital
- National Centre for Infectious Diseases.
The donation was made under the initiative “Food For Frontline”.
At least 20,000 frontline healthcare workers will receive food vouchers.

According to the media release, priority will be given to the "unsung heroes"
"Priority is given to the unsung heroes: the group of workers whose work is often less visible yet integral to the frontline response, e.g. the housekeeping staff, patient care assistants and ambulance drivers etc."
Lim hopes that these meals will boost the morale of these frontline healthcare workers and bring them some comfort in this difficult period.
