At least.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on May 31 that they will be reviewing Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates, from June 2, 2020.

However, there will be no ERP charges at all gantries across the island until June 28, 2020.

Even then it will depend on the reviewing process to determine if there will be charges.

ERP charges at all gantries will continue to be suspended

LTA had suspended ERP charging at all gantries from Apr 6, in line with the Circuit Breaker period, as that resulted in reduced traffic.

However, as the nation slowly reopens on June 2, traffic volume is expected to increase, as people commute to their workplaces and schools.

While there will be no charges at ERP gantries until June 28, LTA will resume its review process for ERP and monitor if ERP charges will be needed, based areas that might be congested with traffic.

The outcome of this ERP rate review, which will start on June 2, will be announced in the fourth week of June.

Until then, there will continue to be no ERP charges at all gantries.

ERP rates to be reviewed once every 4 weeks

While ERP rates are traditionally reviewed on a quarterly basis, LTA will be shortening the frequency of its ERP rate reviews to once every four weeks, due to the evolving Covid-19 situation.

The frequency of the rate reviews will be adjusted according to the situation on the ground and when appropriate, LTA will revert to quarterly ERP rate reviews.
