A woman and her son witnessed a road accident happen right before their eyes in Bedok on Saturday, May 9, at around 9pm.

The woman subsequently uploaded onto Facebook photos of the aftermath of the accident, involving a motorcyclist who was witnessed to have been thrown off his bike and flung into the T-junction of Bedok North Road and New Upper Changi Road.

The area is currently undergoing construction works that involved the realignment of the road:

The woman wrote: "At around 9pm tonight, I witnessed the rider skid and lose control of his bike right before my very own eyes."

She also warned riders to be careful of the uneven road surface along Bedok North Road towards the traffic lights.

She said she was left shaken and has since contacted the Land Transport Authority.

She also claimed that there was apparently a similar accident that occurred earlier the same day at around 5pm involving another rider.

However, she did not reveal how she came to know of the previous incident.

In response to queries from Mothership.sg, LTA said the road has been patched since Sunday morning, May 10.
