The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 506 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm on Saturday, May 30, 2020.

This brings the total number of reported cases in Singapore to 34,366.

The majority of the reported infections continue to be work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

There are five cases in the community, of whom two are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents and three are Work Pass holders

On Thursday, no Singaporean/PR cases were reported.

There were three Singaporean or Permanent Resident cases reported on Friday.

Further details will be shared in a separate announcement from MOH on Saturday evening.

Updates from May 28 press conference

All Covid-19 patients who are assessed to be clinically well by day 21 from the onset of the illness can now be discharged, without the need for two consecutive negative tests.

This new measure, which will take effect immediately, was announced by Minister for Health Gan Kim Yong at a virtual press conference on Thursday, May 28.

In the press conference, Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong also announced that Singapore will allow social interactions to resume during Phase 2.

Masks will remain compulsory whenever outside one’s home.

Within the home, households may receive up to five visitors per day.

As Phase 2 progresses, this cap of five people may increase.
