Some things are worth queueing for.

After three weeks of suspended operations, McDonald's in S'pore announced that they will be resuming deliveries, drive-thru and takeaways from today (May 11) onwards.

Limited stores are open and most opened stores will have shorter opening hours, operating only from 7am to 9pm.

Queues for McDonald's

And it seems like a lot of people are already trying to satisfy their cravings today.

Here's the queue at Bedok Mall this morning, for example:

According to a Mothership reader, food delivery riders have to wait outside the outlet and collect the orders at a collection point outside the restaurant.

A McDonald's staff was also deployed to ensure that customers maintain safe distancing while queuing for their orders.

And this seems to be the Drive-Thru situation at Toa Payoh SAFRA:

But if you're lucky, some outlets, like this one at Kovan for example, barely had a queue around 11am:

Virtual queue

Not only were there physical queues, but there was also a virtual queue on McDelivery as well.

Due to a surge in delivery orders, some patrons had to go through a virtual queue system before even getting to the menu.

Here's the situation at 10:30am:

The delivery platform has also seen a change of operating hours, taking orders only from 7am to 9pm instead of the usual 24 hours.

The last online order has to be made by 8:30pm.
