A 21-year-old man, Edmund Kam Wei Liang, was charged in court on May 13 for the stabbing of a 26-year-old man in Jurong West on Mother's Day, May 10, CNA reported.

He was accused of using a knife that left the victim, Teo Jia Wei, with "severe bleeding".

In addition, Kam was also supposedly accompanied by a second man, 28-year-old Teo Shou Ren, during the attack.

Both parties had supposedly stabbed Teo multiple times "on his body and head" in a manner that was likely fatal.

Online photos of the incident showed a man sitting in a pool of blood.

Second suspect has not been charged

The incident happened at Blk 452 Jurong West Street 42.

CNA further highlighted that the second suspect has not been charged.

Should Kam be found guilty of causing grievous hurt with a weapon, he faces up to 15 years' imprisonment, with fine or caning, or with both.
