In April 2020, the Housing Development Board (HDB) stated that home-based food businesses (HBFBs) cannot operate if it involves customers picking up the goods or if the business engages a third-party delivery service to send the goods to customers.

However, from May 12, HBFBs in Singapore can operate again on delivery or self-collection basis.

List of home-based food businesses

To give a headstart for some HBFBs that have been affected during the circuit breaker period, Jiak, a new community-run directory was set to help hawkers and HBFBs.

As the month of Ramadan coincides with the circuit breaker period, the team behind Jiak decided to create a new section for HBFBs operating during this time.

Here are some of the listed HBFBs for you to check out.

Roti Kirai Singapura

This Muslim-owned business specialises in roti kirai (laced, crepe-like pancakes) which goes well with chicken curry.
