This is why we can't have nice things sometimes.

One man in Singapore recently took to Facebook group Complaint Singapore to share a disturbing sight in his HDB lift.

Mysterious liquid in hand sanitiser bottle

According to Vincent Loo, someone had replaced hand sanitiser with what appears to a mysterious yellowish-brown liquid. The liquid is believed to be green tea mixed with remnants of hand sanitiser, Loo said.

The photo also shows a bottle of green tea, with some liquid spilled, on the floor.

The lift has no CCTV camera, Loo said.

In response to Loo's post, some people also asked if the liquid inside the hand sanitiser bottle could possibly be urine:

Zaobao reported that at around 10:45am on May 21, Loo was leaving his home at 895D Woodlands Drive 50 when he noticed this sight in his lift.

Loo had not noticed the smell of urine in the lift, and believes that someone put green tea in the hand sanitiser bottle as a prank.

"This lift isn't big, if it was urine, there should be an odour, but I couldn't smell anything at that time," he said.

Here's his post:

Sigh.
