With the advent of social media, any wrongdoing or even mildly strange occurrence in public might end up being circulated online.

To ensure that he is not wrongfully portrayed online, one man in Singapore has taken to Facebook to provide a preemptive explanation of his actions.

Motorist thought he was eating customer's order

In a rather comical post, Alif Danial shared what happened on May 15 while he was heading home after working as a GrabFood delivery rider.

Alif was on the road, and had already stopped accepting orders.

Famished, he bought a KFC meal on his way home.

He then stored the meal in his GrabFood bag and hung the drinks and fries on his motorcycle's handlebars.

While pausing at a traffic junction, Alif took a sip of his drink and snacked on some fries.

His actions, however, did not go unnoticed by a fellow motorist.

The motorist proceeded to wind down his car's window, and perhaps out of goodwill, said "Bro, don't eat people food la. They order the food lei."

Alif said he was too tired and hungry to explain himself, and simply smiled, nodded and continued eating.

With some rather ingenious foresight, he then decided to share the incident on Facebook, in the event that someone wrongly believed he was eating customers' orders and decided to air it online.

"So if you guys see me in someone's FB post about eating customer's food, this is my explanation ok! [laughing emojis]

Have a great Sunday!"

Supportive comments

Alif's post has since gone viral, garnering over 930 shares at time of writing.

Many Facebook users are supportive of Alif's online explanation and his calm response to the other motorist.

Some also joked that Alif could have offered the motorist some of his fries.

"If it was me in your situation, I would've thrown my drink in his car."

"You didn't offer him some fries?"

"Felt like throwing the fries at him. Hahahahaha."
