The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed 876 new cases of Covid-19 infection on May 10, 2020.

The total number of cases in Singapore now stands at 23,336.

Breakdown of cases

Here is a breakdown of the new cases:

• Imported cases: 1
• Cases in the community: 4 (2 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, 2 Work Pass)
• Work Permit holders (residing outside dormitories): 11
• Work Permit holders (residing in dormitories): 860

A total of 1,097 confirmed cases remain in hospitals, while 19,498 are isolated and cared for at various community facilities.

A total of 425 more cases have been discharged, bringing the total number of discharged cases to 2,721.

A total of 22 cases are in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Here are the details of the cases involving Singaporeans and Permanent Residents:

• The number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of 11 cases per day in the week before, to an average of nine per day in the past week.
• The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased, from an average of five cases per day in the week before, to an average of four per day in the past week.

5 new clusters

A total of five new clusters were announced today.

12 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at a construction site at 15 Serangoon North Avenue 1.

Four of the newly confirmed cases are linked to nine previous cases to form a new cluster at 9 Woodlands Industrial Park E1.

Six of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 11 Woodlands Industrial Park E1.

14 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to form a new cluster at 515 Yishun Industrial Park A.
