A police spokesperson told Mothership that they were alerted to a case of unnatural death at 6:41pm on May 15.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to a call for assistance at about 6:45pm.

The man was found motionless at the location, and pronounced dead at the scene by a SCDF paramedic.

Preliminary police investigations do not suspect foul play and investigations are ongoing.

Responding to Mothership's queries, the Ministry of Manpower said they are aware of the death of the 27-year-old Bangladeshi worker at 31 Kranji Crescent.

The man's family members, employer and the Bangladesh High Commission have been informed of his death.

MOM is also working with the employer and the Migrant Workers' Centre to provide assistance to his family.

According to TNP, the worker was employed by Kiat Lee Landscape & Building, a landscaping company that runs a factory-converted dormitory at 31 Kranji Crescent.

Previous unnatural death

This is the second incident of unnatural death involving a foreign worker in the past three weeks.

Previously, an Indian national was found lying motionless at a stairwell at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and subsequently succumbed to his injuries on Apr. 23.

The Ministry of Health subsequently confirmed in a following update that 46-year-old Alagu Periyakarrupan was a Covid-19 patient, but had died from multiple injuries sustained from a fall from height.

The Ministry of Manpower also revealed in a statement that Alagu had been working here as a construction worker since September 2009, and was living in a factory-converted dormitory.
