44-year-old Bangladeshi national with Covid-19 dies from heart attack

Case 16370, a 44-year-old male Bangladeshi national, has passed away on May 5.

He had been admitted to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital on April 29 and treated for a heart attack, and was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on the same day.

The cause of death is acute myocardial infarction.

On May 3, it was reported that an 86-year-old female Singaporean has died from complications due to Covid-19.

May 5 update

The Ministry of Health has preliminarily confirmed 632 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm on May 5.

Eight of the new cases reported today are Singaporeans or Permanent residents.

The majority of the cases are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

The total number of cases in Singapore is 19,410.
