86-year-old female S'porean is 18th Covid-19 related death locally

She had a history of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemia.

An 86-year-old female Singaporean has died from complications due to Covid-19 on May 3, 2020.

According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), this is the 18th death in Singapore related to the virus.

She was confirmed to have a Covid-19 infection on Apr. 27, becoming Case 14,744.

The woman also had a history of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemia — the condition of having a high level of cholesterol or triglycerides in one's blood.

Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to the woman family and is extending assistance to them.

Case 17,410

MOH updated that the cause of Case 17,410's death was due to ischaemic heart disease.

He was a 47-year-old male Bangladeshi national who passed away on May 1.

He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection after passing away.
